“Through out my professional career, I knew I wanted to own and run my own business.” Freddie’s journey to becoming President of SportsWorx TX began in September 1974 in Cheverly, Maryland. He began his high school career in basketball at McKinley Technical High School, but football would further guide his career. He was heavily recruited by many schools, but chose to become part a rich athletic tradition at The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Freddie was mentored by Coach Tim Brewster to a first-team All-ACC selection in 1995 and again in 1996 then set a North Carolina single-season record for receptions by a tight end (32) to garner third-team All-America honors from Football News. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science, Freddie was drafted by the San Diego Chargers with their first pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. During his 5 seasons in San Diego, he was voted Pro Bowl Alternate twice, and voted Offensive MVP in 2000. He then went on to play 3 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. After 8 seasons in the NFL, Freddie finished his career in 2005 after signing with the Carolina Panthers. “I wanted a business in sports but didn’t want to be away from my family for an extended period of time. I prayed for direction in what field to go. God lead me to SportsWorx.” In 2006 Freddie moved his family to Frisco, TX. “We chose Frisco because of its commitment growth and to families”. It was a perfect fit. After researching SportsWorx and its competitors, Freddie chose SportsWorx because “I feel it is the best in its field. I also felt that they offered the student/athlete the best value in the market.” In 2007 Freddie became CEO of SportsWorx Texas. “My personal long term goal, as President and Owner of SportsWorx Texas is to align ourselves with each High School, travel team, and high school age athletic programs in Texas to help all of their athletes attain their goals of playing their sport on any collegiate level and using that skill to help finance the best education and situation possible.” "Elevate your thinking and you elevate you life"- Keith Craft
